Cranleigh STEM has partnered with a global metals business who are recruiting for an HSE Advisor to join their team based in Kent on a permanent basis. As EHS Advisor, you will be responsible for applying, developing and implementing EHS management systems – whilst having the ability to carry out internal audits and be the point of contact for accreditation.
EHS Advisor responsibilities
- Responsible for applying, developing and implementing existing health, safety and environment management systems, current legislation and best practice
- Support the Head of HSE in implementing and maintaining the IMS documents and systems
- Implement the long-term HSE management strategy in line with site and corporate standards
- Review and align corporate systems with BRM
- Maintain and carry out the internal audit programme to ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company Policies, Standards and Procedures
- Be the point of contact for accreditation and certifications including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001
- Host internal and external audit activities and maintain relationships with the relevant legislative, certification and registration bodies
EHS Advisor requirements
- Possess a NEBOSH General qualification.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing HSE management systems – ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
- Will have the ability and willingness to take ownership and accept full accountability for own actions
- Must have a “can do” attitude with the ability to motivate and develop team stakeholders
- Will be a networker with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and deliver on Health & Safety and Environmental initiatives
- COMAH experience is desirable
