H&S Advisor

Location: Head Office, Hull (with travel across Yorkshire & Lancashire)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours/week)

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 + up to 20% annual bonus + other great benefits.

Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays

The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Safety, Environment & Compliance, you’ll support the delivery of HSEQ services across the group, primarily within construction, FM, and estates. You’ll be responsible for advising on safety and compliance matters, conducting audits, and promoting a positive safety culture. This is a developmental role with potential progression to H&S Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide health, safety, environmental & compliance support across multiple business areas
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigation
  • Support ISO-aligned HSEQ systems and training deliver
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance safety culture and performance
  • Travel to various sites weekly (no overnight stays)

What You’ll Need:

  • NEBOSH Level 3 in Occupational Safety, Construction, or Fire
  • H&S experience in construction or similar high-risk environment
  • Understanding of CDM Regulations and ISO standard
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
  • Strong communication, auditing, and report-writing skills

Desirable:

  • P405 Asbestos / Fire Risk Assessment qualification (or willingness to gain)
  • Level 3 Award in Education & Training
