Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

Location: Oxford

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hybrid Working (On-site during probation)

About the Company:

Our client is a leading medical device business committed to innovation and excellence. They are currently seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and drive forward their EHS strategy, ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship across their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the company’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy in alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead EHS initiatives, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all levels of the organisation.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Oversee incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to staff on EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of the business.
  • Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ensure all EHS documentation is up-to-date and accurately maintained.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an Environmental, Health & Safety role within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Diploma level qualification in EHS or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment, with flexibility to be on-site during the probation period.
