Our client, an art supplies manufacturer, is looking for a new Graduate Research & Development Technician to join their team. You will be responsible for working on new formulations for use in the creative arts, in addition to the testing of raw materials for use in existing and complex formulations.

The role is on a full-time basis (onsite) with working hours between 07:30 AM - 16.00 PM Monday - Friday.

The Role

An exciting new position has opened within the R&D team for a new R&D technician. The role, reporting to the Manufacturing Director, will involve the following key aspects.

  • Working closely with the Sales and Marketing Team on the development of new products through formulation changes and research on new materials
  • Improvement of existing products through raw material analysis
  • Cost optimization studies
  • Hazardous labelling reviews and formulation change to minimize the risks associated with our products

Experience Required

The successful candidate will have a degree in a scientific subject and will be an individual looking to establish a career in R&D or materials science.

The role offers an individual a perfect opportunity to develop skills within a UK-based Manufacturing Organization with exposure to a range of different departments within the business such as supply chain, finance, sales and marketing and many more.
