Our client, a leading Contract Beverages company, are looking for scientific graduates to join their growing team as a Laboratory / Quality Technician! You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on laboratory experience within the quality department and get involved in a variety of aspects including testing, analysis, deviation management, maintenance of equipment, and more!
The Role
- Sample Testing: Get hands-on as you collect and analyse samples at every stage of the bottling process to guarantee perfection.
- Reporting: Be the go-to expert for test results, accurately reporting findings and flagging any deviations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep our high-tech lab equipment in tip-top shape through routine calibration and maintenance.
- Data Logging: Ensure all sample results are meticulously logged and up to date.
- Visitor Engagement: Represent the lab when interacting with visitors, customers, and auditors – show off what we do!
- Stock Control: Manage and monitor lab inventory so we’re always well-stocked.
- Customer Support: Help investigate product complaints and contribute to improving quality.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols to keep everyone safe.
- Recipe Adjustments: Use your smarts to calculate and tweak product recipes when needed.
- Training: Expand your skills in exciting areas like chemistry, microbiology, and sensory analysis.
- Laboratory Hygiene: Maintain a spotless lab, ensuring cleanliness and decontamination are never overlooked.
Experience Required
- Scientific-based degree
- Organisational Skills
- Proficiency in IT – Use of Microsoft Office software including Excel
- Safe handling of chemicals would be beneficial
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Eagerness to learn new skills and practical techniques
- Time management Skills
