About the Role

We are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Officer to support the business with regulatory and compliance requirements across a diverse portfolio of chemical products. This role will play a key part in ensuring the company’s products meet global regulatory standards and market requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date with global industry legislation, advising the wider team on upcoming changes and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Design teams to implement artwork changes to meet compliance across all target markets.
  • Research and assess risks and requirements associated with launching products in new global markets.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with Classification, Labelling, and Packaging (CLP) regulations globally.
  • Work with Product Development teams to ensure all products are compliant for market placement, completing all required documentation, testing, and due diligence.
  • Manage and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product technical files, ensuring systematic filing, updating, and distribution.
  • Lead annual packaging waste declarations internally and support customer-specific requests.
  • Develop and maintain a Restricted Substance List (RSL) to ensure alignment with company policies.
  • Establish processes for the safe and compliant transportation of dangerous goods worldwide.
  • Oversee compliance with product environmental and chemical legislation, including policies such as REACH, working with relevant teams to resolve issues.
  • Monitor global regulatory developments, providing impact assessments and compliance strategies while effectively communicating complex requirements to non-technical audiences.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for global regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure product compliance with key regulations such as BPR, REACH, PCN, Detergents, CLP, GHS, FIFRA, TSCA, Prop65, CPNP, and Dangerous Goods Transport.
  • Support export teams with customs and transportation compliance requests.
  • Manage environmental requests via online portals for multiple EU markets.
  • Assist Customer Service teams with technical product-related queries and concerns.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or related technical field.
  • Relevant industry experience in regulatory compliance for blended fluid/chemical products.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to address areas of uncertainty to a high standard.

  • Generalist compliance knowledge across product and environmental regulations.
